A teacher at East for more than two decades, Dean Owens took over as head coach in 2025.  It is a position with special meaning to him and his family with his father serving as a coach for East before his passing in 1987.  Coach Owens has been a dedicated member of the West Chester Area School District community for decades, beginning his journey as a player at Henderson High School in the early 1990s. He later returned to the program as an assistant coach, serving under Joe Carroll, Doug Costin, and Dan Ellis from 2004 to 2013. Most recently, Coach Owens spent five years as the head coach at Twin Valley High School, bringing leadership, experience, and a deep commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field.
